Hello,

a quick message about James Joys’ composition A Constellation of Bargained Parts premiered by Codetta Choir (directed by Dónal Doherty), alongside solo singer Pete Devlin.

It’s a big piece of music with lots of moving parts, and we want to make sure it is given the best performance possible. For that reason we have decided to delay the concert until Saturday 6th October.

Thank you,

James Joys composition ‘A Constellation of Bargained Parts’ will be premiered by Codetta Choir, directed by Dónal Doherty, alongside solo singer Pete Devlin in the wonderful acoustics of St Thomas’ Church. A Constellation Of Bargained Parts is a new work for solo voice and choir that sits upon a moment of fateful simultaneity between spring and autumn; between hope and decay. Gathering and borrowing from early choral music, impressionism, and the mid-century crooning of Scott Walker, composer James Joys and singer Pete Devlin have assembled six modern lamentations for futures being gambled away. Tickets are FREE but limited, and you must prebook.
