This very special tour celebrates the release of Six Days In Down a new album featuring globe-trotting slide-guitarist Bob Brozman and two cutting edge talents of the Irish music scene - the masterful uilleann piper John McSherry and fiddle virtuoso Dónal O'Connor.  Together, the trio explore fresh perspectives on the living tradition and the end result if fresh, passionate music that is startlingly beautiful and splashed with gentle humour.

Voted 'Best World Guitarist' in 'Guitar Player Magazine's 2010 Readers' Choice Awards'  Bob Brozman is king of the Hawaiian slide-guitar and the world’s leading player of National steel guitars. He has spent a lifetime dedicated to playing, researching and recording music from numerous islands around the world. He is a remarkably prolific artist, whose wit, energy and musical technique combine to create an unforgettable live performance.

A composer, arranger and musician of world class renown, John McSherry was a founding member of top trad band Lúnasa and during his career, he has taken the art of uilleann piping to new heights. His critically acclaimed solo debut album Soma, was released earlier this year.

Dónal O’Connor is from a musical legacy of at least five generations of fiddle players and has toured extensively with bands such as At First Light, which also includes McSherry in its accomplished line-up. He is widely regarded as one of the best fiddle players of his generation.

Six Days In Down is supported by the National Lottery, through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.  The album was recorded in Down Arts Centre, Downpatrick.  It is available to pre-order now from World Music Network and will be on general release from 27th September 2010 onwards.
