Playing storming roots of country, bluegrass and old-time tunes with the pure essence of early rockabilly, The Wilders deliver a blistering hoedown, full of whizz-bang music that is as infectious, fun loving and good time as you will ever hear!
Led by the inimitable Ike Sheldon on lead vocals and guitar, The Wilders is made up of multi-award winning fiddler Betse Ellis, string virtuoso Phil Wade on dobro, mandolin and banjo and dazzling bassist Nate Gawron.
The energetic quartet's high-octane live performances have won them many accolades, including a Herald Angel (the Edinburgh Fringe Festival equivalent of an Oscar) and in January 2009, they wowed a capacity crowd at Glasgow's Old Fruitmarket, as part of the annual Celtic Connections Festival.
