Hello!

We are delighted to have David Lyttle as our Artist In Residence on the run up to 2016’s Brilliant Corners jazz festival.

Recording artist, songwriter, jazz drummer, producer and record label owner, David is a one-man industry who has collaborated with internationally renowned artists, performed across the world, and is the only Irish musician ever to be nominated for a MOBO Award.

As part of the Artist in Residence programme, David will work with a small number of young musicians to create new ensembles, offer advice, rehearsal space, developmental work, and writing new music. There will also be performance opportunities within the Brilliant Corners festival in March 2016.

This is a call for young musicians (aged 16 – 22 yrs. old) who would like to take part in this exciting project. Applicants must be available for meeting and rehearsing evenings and weekends, between 10th January and 7th March at the MAC Belfast.
